Broken Bow Savages – 2021 Pigskin Preview Defense Feature – Presented by Pine Cellular

BROKEN BOW SAVAGES
Head Coach: GLENNIS RING
2020 Record: 5-4

DEFENSE
The defense for Broken Bow brings back four starters from last year’s team. Leading the way is Brumley, who led the team in tackles as a sophomore. Brumley will line up at the outside linebacker position. At inside linebacker, is Dawson Robbins (6-0, 190, Sr.) who has proved to be one of the top defenders on this Savages team. This defense looks to use its experience in the secondary to their advantage. Kyran Whitfield (6-0, 165, So.) is an underclassman to watch, getting playing time at free safety as a freshman. He looks to continue his success going into his sophomore year. Adding to the experience is Trenton Owens (5-11, 160, Sr.) and Willis. Willis plays vital roles on both sides of the ball, and looks to defend the pass game with Owens, both playing cornerback. Playing on the line is Alaska Jett (6-0, 250, Sr.) who’s responsible for leading the young defensive line. Jett is the only returning player from the defensive line, but the coaching staff believes the younger players can come in and make an immediate impact. The Savage defense will look to play in a 4-2-5 formation.
