2021 Broken Bow Football Schedule and Results
Kyran Whitfield is a 15-year-old sophomore from Broken Bow, and his love of sports is powered by a very simple philosophy.
“I love the game, and I love to win,” Whitfield said. “I’m competitive and I’m an athlete. I fell in love with football and basketball when I was a kid, and I’m going to try to use those sports to get my mom and siblings out of Broken Bow.”
Whitfield is just ramping up his second football season with the Savages, and he said the season is progressing as normal so far.
“We’re 1-1 right now, and we feel confident on making it to the playoffs and then to state,” he said. “Being a sophomore on the team is not really intimidating to me at all, because I’ve been playing with older people and upperclassmen my whole life. They help me out by seeing what they do and trying to do it better. We all want to win and do the best we can for the team.”
In his free time, Whitfield said he enjoys listening to music or going to the gym to work out. He said he also enjoys running the football field or just shooting baskets and running drills.
