Broken Bow Lady Savages Basketball Team – Presented by Weyerhaeuser

BROKEN BOW LADY SAVAGES

GIRLS

Coach: TOBY BEAN

23-24 Record: 15-11

The Broken Bow Lady Savages are primed for an exciting season with the entire roster returning from their 15-11 record last year, and head coach Toby Bean is confident about their potential. “I am excited about this team,” said Bean. “We have everyone back from last year, and with that experience, I think we have the ingredients to make a deep playoff run this season.” With a combination of seasoned seniors and promising underclassmen, the Lady Savages are prepared to make their mark in the upcoming campaign.

Key contributors this season include senior leaders such as Jaxie Glasson (5-5, G, Sr.), who has been called the team’s unmatched work ethic and defensive presence. “You won’t find anyone who works harder than Jaxie,” said coach Bean. “She may be only 5’5”, but she’s one of our best rebounders and consistently leads us in charges taken.” Glasson’s energy and intensity elevate her teammates’ performance in every game.

Sophomore standout Tyson Woolsey (G/F, So.) is another player to watch. Woolsey, having made a big impact as a freshman last year, averaged nearly a double-double with multiple 20-plus-point games and even a couple of 30-point performances. Joining her as an underclassman to watch is Jaylen Cauthron (G, So.), a transfer from Idabel who played a pivotal role in her former team’s run to the 3A state championship.

The Lady Savages’ lineup boasts a mix of experience and rising talent across the roster. Senior players include RayleeGaston (G, Sr.), Avery Skelton (F, Sr.), and Haylee Brantley (C, Sr.), each bringing invaluable leadership and skills to the floor. Junior contributors Aubrey Hightower (F, Jr.) and Katie Rogers (G, Jr.) add depth, while sophomores like Mylee Williams (G, So.), Raylee Martin (F, So.), Genesis Smith (G, So.), and Lanie Tomlinson (F, So.) show potential to make significant contributions. The roster is rounded out by freshmen Khloe Williams (G, Fr.) and A’niyah Griffin (G, So.), who offer additional options off the bench.

As the season approaches, coach Bean and his Lady Savages are ready to embrace the challenge, aiming for a successful campaign that could very well take them deep into the playoffs. With dedication, teamwork, and the energy that defines this Broken Bow squad, the Lady Savages are set to make a strong statement in 2024.
