Head Coach: Toby Bean
20-21 Record: 20-8
As head coach Toby Bean enters the 2021-22 season his focus is turning a large group of younger players into varsity basketball players who will carry the flag for Broken Bow for several years to come. “We will have a much different look this season than last year,” said coach Bean. “We don’t return any starters and will be young but talented. We currently have 21 girls on the team with 17 of them being sophomores or younger.” Molly Rogers (5-8, Jr.) played come crucial minutes last season and will step into a larger role this year. Kate Burris (5-8, Sr.) is one of the leaders on this team and coach Bean expects her to take that role on and off the court. Kayla Ward (5-9, Sr.) had her seasoned shortened by an injury last year, but she is expected to make a big impact this year. Raylee Gaston (5-7, Fr.) has a bright future with Broken Bow. She is athletic and will make a difference for this team immediately. Natali Martinez (5-5, So.) is a player on the cusp of a breakout season. Other players to watch include Jaxie Glasson (5-4, Fr.) at guard, Haylie Brantley (5-4, Fr.) at guard, Kennison Camp (5-9, So.) at forward, Kaylee Johnson (5-9, So.) at forward and Alexa Schultz (5-6, Fr.) at guard. “This is a great group of girls who are willing to learn and compete and I expect big things from them in the future,” said coach Bean.
