Broken Bow head coach Ryan Woolsey is blessed with an athletic team and players like Jakyran Whitfield. Kyran, as his teammates call him, is an athletic guard with good size. Kyran is the younger brother of CJ Whitfield, who graduated last season.
We caught up with Kyran to find out more about this underclassman to watch for McAlester.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
Whitfield: What I love about my team is they work hard, and they want to get better when they step in a gym.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
Whitfield: My favorite subject in school is athletics and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Price, we have a pretty close bond and if I need something in school, I just go to her.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life? Explain
Whitfield: I’d say my big brother been a big influence on me because he’s always been the one to push me and make me go harder even when it gets hard.
