VYPE: Why is great work ethic important to you?
Ella Hammonds: A great work ethic is important to me because I feel like if you want to reach any of your goals you have to be willing to work for it and put yourself out there.
VYPE: What is your favorite memory or memory from your time as a varsity cheerleader?
EH: My favorite memory is just always before we go out on the mat to compete. We all huddle together and pray together. They are all like sisters to me.
VYPE: What wisdom did you gain from FFA?
EH: I have learned how to be responsible, team player and dedication to things you want in life.
VYPE: How do you hope your classmates and teammates remember you?
EH: I hope they remember me as the girl that is always trying to reach her goals and is always striving to be the best version of me that I can be.
VYPE: Why was Oklahoma State University the right place for you? We hear you’re trying out for pom.
EH: I honestly chose Oklahoma State University because my mom got her degree from there and I would really like to follow in her footsteps except becoming a dermatologist instead of pharmacist. Yes, I did try out for the Oklahoma State Pom squad and I made it to the top 24 girls and they only took 20 but it was definitely a learning experience for me considering we do not have any Pom teams down here I was learning the Pom style while also having to try out with everyone else who has done pom their whole lives but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot and I more than likely will be back trying out again next year!
