VYPE: Who has been your favorite coach throughout your career and how did they impact you as a player?
Xavier Haywood: Coach Woolsey has been my favorite coach. He pushes me and my teammates to be better, both on and off the court.

VYPE: Did you have any teammates that you admire or that supported you?
XH: One of my teammates whom I admired was Kieler Young. He was a good person both on and off the court.

VYPE: Who was your favorite teacher and how were they influential in your life?
XH: One of my favorite teachers was Mrs. Vee because she taught us about the important things in life, and she was a kind-hearted person.

VYPE: What preparation have you taken this off-season to better equip yourself for the upcoming season?
XH: This off-season, I have put up a lot of shots and spent a significant amount of time in the gym.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
XH: If you want something in life, you have to work hard and go get it.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory in your sport?
XH: I enjoyed going to Magic Springs this summer after the Lake Hamilton Camp this year.

VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish this season (individual or team goals)?
XH: Something I hope to accomplish this year is getting to go to State.

VYPE: What matchup are you most looking forward to this season?
XH: A matchup I am looking forward to this year is the Poteau game because it’s our first game, and I’m ready for us to showcase our talent to the Savage fans.

VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
XH: My plans after high school are to get a degree in business and eventually open my own business.
