Broken Bow Lady Savages Basketball Team Preview – Presented by Evan Smalling State Farm

BROKEN BOW LADY SAVAGES

GIRLS

Coach: Toby Bean

22-23 Record: 13-13

The Broken Bow girls’ basketball team, led by head coach Toby Bean and his staff, is looking ahead to an exciting 2023-24 season. With a record last season of 13-13, the team is determined to continue their upward trajectory. Coach Bean, in his fifth year at the school, is optimistic about the season ahead: “This should be a good year for us. We did lose our leading scorer but have four returning starters and the future looks bright.” Raylee Gaston (Jr.) will be significant contributor to the team this season. Gaston has been a starter for the past two seasons. She’s shown remarkable growth, averaging 10 points and 6.0 rebounds per game as a freshman and elevating those numbers to 14 points and 7.0 rebounds per game last season. Gaston is expected to take on a bigger leadership role this season and continue to be a driving force for the team. Aubrey Hightower (So.) is poised for a breakout season, according to her head coach. With a skill set that hints at her potential to be a special basketball player, she’s ready to step into a more prominent role on the team. Her dedication and hard work over the summer suggest that she’s going to have a big sophomore season. Avery Skelton (Jr.) brings grit and determination to the team. She’s a member of the squad who consistently goes above and beyond. Her selflessness and willingness to play whatever role necessary for the team’s success make her a valuable asset. The future looks bright for the Broken Bow girls’ basketball team. With an energetic and talented roster, coach Bean and his staff are committed to helping their players grow and succeed both on and off the court. Expect this team to make waves in the upcoming season as they strive to improve upon their record and continue their journey toward excellence.
