With a fierce determination to conquer challenges, Caitlynn draws inspiration from her unwavering faith. “Knowing that I’m playing for God’s glory and not my own is my main motivation.”
Guided by the strong women who have shaped her path, Caitlynn finds strength in her family’s legacy. “My biggest role model is my ‘Nonna’ because she has taught me how to be a strong woman of God,” she said. “My mom is also one of my greatest role models because she lives with a fierceness and competitiveness that I strive to achieve every single day.”
Navigating the challenges of academics and athletics, Caitlynn finds solace and support in the mentorship of her teachers. “Mrs. Wood has been like a mom to me anytime I need it.”
On the field, Caitlynn’s success is a testament to her tireless dedication. “To be successful in my sport, it has taken many hours of practicing by myself,” she said, underscoring the importance of hard work and perseverance.
Among the cherished moments of her athletic career, Caitlynn treasures the exhilarating triumphs on the state stage. “Winning state my freshman year was one of the coolest things I have ever experienced.”
In the heat of competition, Caitlynn finds motivation in the thrill of rivalry. “The opponent I enjoy beating the most would have to be Idabel. Victory just tastes sweeter when it’s against them.”
Beyond the field, Caitlynn’s leadership extends into various extracurricular pursuits. “I’m involved in the Spanish club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Treasurer of National Honors Society, Dance Team Captain and Secretary of Student Council.”
Looking ahead to the future, Caitlynn’s aspirations soar high. “After high school, I plan to attend East Texas Baptist University as I obtain my master’s degree in business administration while playing softball for the Lady Tiger Softball Team,” she shared.
